Healing Care Group is a small group ministry that integrates formational prayer
and positions you to meet Jesus in places of brokenness.
Formational Prayer is a ministry of the Holy Spirit moving through a Christian facilitator, bringing the healing presence of Jesus Christ into the place of pain and brokenness
within a wounded person.

First Presbyterian Church is hosting a small group ministry called Healing Care Group. The purpose of this ministry is to offer individuals a safe place to heal from deep wounds, false beliefs, damaged emotions, and dysfunctional behaviors, all in a confidential small group setting. The Healing Care Group ministry may be for you if you struggle in any of the following areas:
- Experiencing God's Love
- Knowing Your True Identity in Christ
- Loving Yourself and Loving Others
- Wounds from Childhood
- Sinful Behaviors
- Negative Thinking
- Feeling Stuck in Your Relationship with God
Healing Care Group is a comprehensive 13-week small group experience. Each session lasts about 2.5 hours. Participants receive their own workbook and two text books. Each meeting includes teaching materials on the session topic, an activity centered on the topic, and a healing prayer time. Our groups are lead by Pastor Mike Parker, who is certified in healing (formational) prayer from Ashland Seminary.
The ministry program was designed in 2001 by Dr. Terry Wardle, professor at Ashland Seminary, and is being used by hundreds of pastors, lay leaders, and counselors around the world. The testimonies of those who have been in a Healing Care Group are remarkable. It truly is a life-changing experience.
Group will begin Monday, September 12, 6:30pm at First Presbyterian Church
Participation is limited; the group will be filled on a first come basis. The cost is $130.00 per participant. A $50.00 deposit is required to receive participant materials prior to the first meeting. Partial scholarships and payment plans may be available.
